In the fourth quarter of 2020, the U.S. Android market saw varied performance among the top air travel applications. Sensor Tower's data provides a clear view of how these apps fared in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

American Airlines maintained steady downloads, starting with around 20K in the last week of September and peaking at roughly 23K in the third week of December. Weekly active users began at approximately 132K and saw a slight uptick to about 134K by the year's end.

United Airlines also experienced a consistent download rate, with numbers ranging from about 19K to over 23K in December. The weekly active users for United Airlines showed a gradual increase from approximately 92K to over 104K in the same period.

For Fly Delta, downloads hovered around the 19K mark at the start of Q4, dipping to 17K in November before climbing back up to over 20K towards the end of December. Active users showed a slight decline from 116K to 111K in early November, but rebounded to about 122K before closing the quarter at around 119K.

Spirit Airlines downloads saw some fluctuations, beginning at 17K, peaking at almost 20K in October, and then settling at around 19K by the end of December. The app's weekly active users started at just over 32K, reached a high of nearly 40K in November, and ended the quarter slightly higher at approximately 42K.

Lastly, Southwest Airlines showed downloads starting at 17K in September, with a low point of about 15K in November, before rising to almost 20K in the third week of December. The app's active users saw a small decrease from 149K to 141K in late October, but gradually increased to about 144K by the year's end.
